Itinerary description
Unique experience. Riding on a volcanic ash plain. Through shallow river beds.
Dont do it alone. If you are confident. You can continue beyond the end point indicated for about another 5 Km.
Dont do it if raining and turn back if it starts to rain. This is a dangerous flash flood area.
You will need to be comfortable riding in sand type material.
Its also possible to book and ride a monster ATV from near the start point.
Trail plotted is approximate. The river is quickly erroding the volcanic ash so the path of the river changes constantly. Take the route as an indication and use your own judgement for where to cross the river. Try to follow other peoples tracks.
