Itinerary description
Embark on a captivating motorcycle adventure, navigating through amazing landscapes while discovering charming swings strategically placed to offer you unparalleled views over Serra da Estrela and Serra do Açor.
Here's a guide to get to those POI:
- Baloiço do Mont'Alto (Capela de Nossa Senhora do Mont'Alto)
Start your adventure at Baloiço do Mont'Alto near the Capela de Nossa Senhora do Mont'Alto. Enjoy the serene surroundings and the beautiful view over Arganil.
- Baloiço da Portela
- Baloiço da Lomba [unpaved]
Venture onto an off-road path leading to Baloiço da Lomba. Choose between the regular path and the more challenging 4x4 route. Note that the 4x4 path is suitable for experienced off-road riders on trail bikes. If in doubt, return to the road after enjoying this swing.
- Parque do Santuário Nossa Sra das Preces (Aldeia das Dez)
- Baloiço do Lajedo (Candosa) [unpaved]
Navigate a bit of off-road terrain to reach this swing. The views are worth the adventure. Road bikes can manage the journey, but if you're not an experienced off-road rider, consider returning to the road for the next leg.
- Baloiço das Carvalhas (Carvalhas)
Encounter Baloiço das Carvalhas, a playful swing in Tábua. Regrettably, from a personal perspective, I found it to be less captivating compared to the other stops, and some might even consider it a slight detour.
Baloiço da Pedra da Sé (Pedra da Sé) [unpaved]
Conclude this adventure at Miradouro da Pedra da Sé. Experience the tranquility and sweeping views, although please note that the swing was no longer there on time of our visit. If you're not an experienced off-road rider, consider returning to the road from here.
This motorcycle journey offers a perfect blend of on-road and off-road experiences, making it accessible to riders with varied skill levels. Enjoy the swings, capture the beauty, and ride safely!
