Itinerary description

Day 3
Departure from Vatra Dornei heading south along the DJ174. After 19 km of asphalt we leave the main road to start the first off-road section of the day. After about 40km of beautiful landscapes, dusty slopes, woods and forest construction sites we arrive at the Varful Iutes pass (1200m) and suddenly a respectable but not always present asphalted stretch begins. We go down to Bilbor and from here again off-road (approximately 18km) to Capo Corbului following the Bistricioara river.
From there direction Borsec on asphalt. Shortly after leaving the town center, the third track of the day begins, leading to Pasul Chiozrez (1175m). We go down to Jolotca where we find asphalt after about 17km. Direction Ditrau we leave the asphalt again towards Hagota from there uphill up to 1300m, short descent and to Pasul Pangarati where we have a snack in a modern refuge (about 27 km). We swoop down to Gheorgheni and then Miercurea Ciuc where we will spend the night in a very quiet well-kept riding school outside the city.
