Itinerary description
Fast road with a few bad corners. Make sure you bring a teakettle to hang at teakettle junction. Be careful, it's blazing hot in summer and super cold in winter with high winds.
The turnoff to the Racetrack is marked and is in the vicinity of Ubehebe Crater. If you talk to the rangers, they will not recommend that you take this road unless you have a 4x4 and more than one spare. I have been there several times by car and motorcycle and have never had a problem.
