PALAWAN (FILIPINES) (7) Puerto Princesa-Port Barton

As I said at the last stage, crowning the port between Napsan and Puerto Princesa I had a fall on the bike. Nothing serious, we were able to get on pedaling in Puerto, but I got an intercostal fracture and we had to continue the trip to the north of Palawan on a mountain bike. So we had to PARK BIKES and make the North Palawan loop on ABOUT ONE MOTORCYCLE.
This stage is actually what had to be two cycling stages. The whole section of National Highway is quite flat and, because the island's main road had much less traffic than we had supposedly, and the landscape is very rural and quiet, dotted with small villages of peasants. The stretch between Roxas and Port Barton turns out to have alternate sections encircled and others of forestry. Arriving at Port Barton we find a lot of mud and, moreover, it is raining us to bots and barrels without interruption, so that they reach the town completely docks and at night. Port Barton is a tourist place that still conserves much of its charm, because tourism is incipient and the place is of great beauty. You can find a multitude of accommodations.
