A BIKE CRANK on the island of Palawan caused an intercostal fracture. Nothing serious but we had to ABANDON THE BIKE in Puerto Princesa and continue the trip to the north of Palawan on a MOTOR MOUNTAIN that we rented in the same village. Here is the story:
Unlike the rest of the Philippine island of Palawan, where practically we had not found tourism, the population of El Nido and its surroundings are places with a lot of tourist influx and with all kinds of gastronomic, hotel and service infrastructures. Thousands of tourists wander daily through the streets of El Nido and all hire the star activities that this place offers: a series of boat tours for the nearest islets. We also did it and the truth is that, despite the excess of tourism, the spectacular views of the houses that are visited are absolutely impressive, of a beauty worthy of the best postal landscapes that we can imagine. In addition to doing these boat tours, we also made a motorcycle tour to visit some of the nearby places that we had been recommended to them, so we went to Nacpan Beach and Duli Beach, two very long beaches, with Transparent water, white sand and many coconut trees as a background scenery. The truth is that, despite the proximity of El Nido, they turned out to be very calm beaches, without too much tourist pressure and with much charm, but without reaching the sublime and surreal beauty of the beaches we had visited during the tours in boat mentioned above. The main road to the north is indicated and has no difficulty, but the two branches that lead up to the two beaches are cliffs that, when we went there, were very muddy and slipped a lot. The track also includes walking on the beaches.

Mercat del Nido

Despite being a very touristy population, the El Nido market still has a very real atmosphere.

Nacpan Beach

The Nacpan Beach is a beautiful and long beach surrounded by coconut trees with a lot less influx than the proximity to El Nido could make us think. It has a bar where you can eat something and, its most southern sector, is known as Twin Beach, as there is a narrow strip of land where we have beaches on both sides.

Duli Beach

The Duli Beach is a beautiful and long beach still quieter than Nacpan Beach. It is more to the north and its access is also due to a track that is usually cramped. They say it is a good beach to surf but when we went there the sea was very calm.
