Itinerary description

The Martin 'Marianas Mars' CF-LYJ Water Bomber, (one of four water bombers servicing Vancouver Island Region), crashed near Mt. Moriarty 1961, killing all four crew members. All wreckage was cleared and all that remains are marked trees and old forest fire damage. This track enters the region at Doumont/Biggs Rd. and leads to an old overgrown logging road near the crash site. Easy/moderate ride and easy short hike. Please don't remove any finds and leave only respect for the four crew members.
