Itinerary description
This trail starts at Morro Bay and pretty much hugs the coast all the way to Carmel. There is a section of the coast highway that experiences significant rock falls that are loosely associated with rainy weather. Make sure you pick your weather. A good day is wonderful, but a cool day can make the trip less than pleasant.
Lots of places to stop and admire the beach and people watch. There is a distinct lack of gas stations on this road, so make sure to fill up more frequently than normal.
Also, while passing the Hurst castle, make sure to stop and admire the zebras.
