  I read your blog (with Google Translate) and I totally love this trip! Me and 3 friends would like to do a part of this trip too. We are all riding KTM Adventure 990S, already did Portugal, Pyrenees offroad. We are from Belgium.
  We would not do the whole tour, because we don't have enough time. We consider doing the tour starting in Croatia, and go to Shköder in Albania and make the small loop there and then return to starting point.
  What is the difficulty of the offroad sections in this trip? A lot of river crossings? Is it possible on intermediate tyres or are offroad tyres recommended? Is camping possible there or is it better advised to stay in hostels/hotels?

  Hello, Szrarno. The hardest sections are located in Albania and Greece, mainly in the Teth and Theodoriana areas.There are no significant river crossings at all. The small loop in Albania you mention is a bit rocky, that's the only nuisance. I have no experience on big trails, but if you intend to ride only to Skhöder and then go back, probably intermediate tyres will suffice. As a solo rider, mud in Albanian dirt roads between Pogradec and Permet was the only thing that made me go back, and there are some short sections of single track just after Trilj on the last stage; as far as I remember those are the only offroad difficulties that you may find on the track.   We did this route in summer 2015 and it was amazing! We ride ktm 950 and we had very good weather: no rain, no mud!

  I think it's 70% offroad. However, tarmac sections won't disappoint you.

  I saw that you drive a drz, do you think that for an average off-road driver can be done with a ktm990?

  Most of the track can be done on your 990, of course, but there are some hard/technical sections too (read the second comment). The descent towards Teodoriana in Greece is a bit demanding too, as well as the ascent to Skarpa summit in Kosovo.

  La ruta la realizamos un equipo de amigos, el año pasado, todos con LC8, una super enduro, una adventure y una adventure S.
  Excepto la parte de Grecia, que a mi parecer es la más sosaina, el resto es una verdadera pasada, sobre todo Albania y Monte Negro.

  Hola Jaime. Si miras el blog tienes una descripción detallada de cada etapa, verás que hay unas pocas secciones de sendas en Croacia. En Grecia tienes una bajada inicial muy pronunciada y deshecha desde el collado Katafidis que desciende hasta Theodoriana. En Durmitor el tramo que llega a Savnik creo que es demasiado estrecho, puedes ver los vídeos. Igualmente en Bosnia hay algún tramo por antigua vía de ferrocarril demasiado estrecha y sin escapatoria como para ir en coche. Por lo demás, creo que podrás hacerlo todo.

  Estoy mirando este verano para hacerla, pero voy solo; ¿crees que es demasiado peligroso? tengo bastanten experiencia en viajes y enduro, pero no conozco la zona. Voy con una KTM ECX 450.
  
  @Jaime gs, veo que vas en 4x4 ¿crees que podría coordinarme contigo? voy solo y quizás podría acomodar mis fechas a las tuyas.

  Hola, jlterres. Por moto y por experiencia no tendrás ningún problema. En verano dispones de muchas horas de luz, regúlate el kilometraje diario a tu gusto e intenta disfrutar al máximo. A pesar de ir solo, no tiene por qué ser peligroso si mantienes la calma y la atención, el track ya está hecho y vas a llegar a todos los destinos. En el blog tienes los detalles. Si necesitas más waypoints, envíame un mensaje privado.

  hi, i had a look at zour blog according to this trip. this is exactly what i am lookng to do this summer! i know already that i will not be able to do everything as i "only" have 20 days. but my question to you is if this would be doable with a 4x4?

  Hi Jamie-ford. In Bosnia avoid the old railroad just before Donji Bakuf, too narrow and in the end a cul de sac for a car. In Greece the initial descent from the Katafidis pass towars Thodoriana is really steep and rocky, for sure it is a demanding section but not impossible. In Durmitor park the section which gets to Savnik is too narrow at some points. In Croatia there are some single track sections before lake Peruca, easy for a motorbike but not doable by car. Bear this info in mind and everyting will be fine.

  Hola Nekay, he hecho la ruta la 2ª 15ª de Julio con mi BMW F800 Gs, con alforjas y equipo de acampada, tengo que decir que la ruta es una verdadera pasada, la he ido complementando con algunos tramos de la Trans Euro Trail que me parecián interesantes. Yo la hice en 11 días en solitario y a ritmo alegre. Muchas gracias por compartir. Ruta en Mayúsculas. me he quedado con ganas de volver a la zona de Albania, Montenegro y Macedonia, para mi, las más bonitas. Saludos

  Nekay, no llegué hasta el Adriático como hiciste tu, crucé la frontera a la altura de Leskovik y tiré dirección a Meteora, por lo que ese tramo no lo hice que es en donde estaba el puente.
