Very nice off-road trip from Allende (city 60km south-west from Monterrey by the road n.85) Dirty road with some parts reinforced by concrete pavements leads all the way across plenty zigzags up and downs to remoted mountain village Potrero Redondo. The greater part of the road runs along the right bank of the beautiful canyon that was created by the Ramos River. This river a few kilometres above creates the legendary canyoning adventure called Matacanes. The end of this journey is trailhead of descending hike to Cascada del Chipitín.

Best part of the trail, down to the valley and then even more higher again. Peaks of "Sierra de la Cebolla" on horizon reach over 2 900 m.
