Itinerary description

at km 35 you leave tarmac to legendary legionaire „route du tagountsa“ old military gravel track from 1933. very nice views while climbing. scenic valley at the top. at km70 there’s tarmac again. follow the track on RN 12 direction tamtetoucht. don’t miss km123 to 128 old track that is marvelous and gives you feeling how the following track was 20years ago. the next 3 or four km new road and take a tea in the cafeteria. following 1-2km riding is only for experienced trialbrothers, you can get there on the new road too…unfortunately the track is at work and will be sealed soon.
km162 you hit mainroad to Boulmane Dades. if you already know this valley don’t hesitate and turn at km167 into one of the highest off-road pass of morocco which bring you to mindblowing views (3360m!) and estimating riding experiences ( nearly 70km) check weather conditions before. you have steep little turns and riding in rain or snow will be very dangerous. we did that 3 years before and had to sleep there because we came into darkness. at km230 you hit tarmac again and have to decide if you make „le cathedral“ next day…
