The route begins at the end of the town, if there is a lot of snow, it is difficult to park in the town, I advise to start at the detour towards the town with the SH20 road, there is a bar with somewhere to park, but this implies going down about 100m which then you will have to go up. The route is marked in red, you can see it at the first wait point, I tried to go along the track that runs along the left bank of the river, but after 1 km it was impossible for me to continue, so I had to link the forest through the route original. It is not very advisable. So it is better at the first wait point to cross the river and climb the shoulder of the mountain with a zig between the trees. The last km is not marked, since there was about 3 meters of snow, the valley is spectacular and a lot of fun to go down.
