Before starting the route, you can visit the Pietroasa monastery, with the classic whole wooden construction from the Maramures area. The route is marked in blue. When you reach 1690 meters, the path does not look good in winter, there are hardly any trees or landmarks anymore, you turn left. If there is a risk of avalanches due to the state of the snow they advised us to go up slightly higher instead of following the blue path, it is the route we did when returning, the incline decreases slightly, but there is still a risk of avalanches, this alternative route makes you have to go down about 30 m to get to the meteorological station, there are always people, the rest of the shelters are closed. The descent is quite narrow in many sections of the route along the path, not suitable for initiation, you can hardly leave the path, the forest is very lush except at the top, but the zig zags of the path are worth it, You do not have to get off the board at any time, and if there is snow you can keep going down the road, be careful! go up some jeep and horse drawn carts.
