Itinerary description
Snowshoeing - The Vallone di Sea isn't kissed at all by sunrays at this time of the year, therefore being a natural fridge of choice to enjoy the recent, decent snowfall. Depth between 30 cm and 50 cm (12"-20") of soft susbstance. Temperature about -6C (21F).
Goal for today was to reach the Gias Nuovo bivouac but we stopped at Gias Balma Massiet instead due to slow progress.
Nice hike anyway on a National Holiday, in a wild valley with nobody around except for a very close encounter with a mature, large male steinbock (Ibex).
