The route begins next to the DN18 road, there is some place to park, cross the bridge, and continue through the valley, parallel to the river, the route is marked in blue, but it is a fairly wide track the first 5 km, then it goes into the forest to come out to a large meadow where there is a refuge that is closed in winter. The return through the same place, at first it was going to be a splitboard route but it has hardly any unevenness, it is impossible to go down on a board.
