Itinerary description

A 10km trail (which used to be one of my favorite bike/cross country ski trail). Trail begins at the base of Mont Garceau off to the left of the hill maintenance garages. First 4km climb to the top of Garceau on a switchback service road (fairly wide). There is the option during the ascent to add on some mileage by completing the Haut Pembina trail ( we have not done this trail in a couple of years) which is a well-marked branch on the left side of trail about 2 km up. After summiting at Garceau the trail traverses the ridge gaining altitude with occasional views of La Reserve to the right and Lac BAribeau to the left. Refuge La Chouette is easily found at 6km from the Garceau summit.
