Itinerary description
Parking at les Ernets (turn right at the les Ernets bus stop). Take the nicely maintained snowshoeing trail in the direction of Solalex. In about 1 km note another showshoeing trail forking North to Frience but keep going East towards Solalex. The trail will take slight dip and when it starts going up again watch for a crossing with a route to la Porreyre. Leave the trail to Solalex and continue straight and up to la Porreyre. This will save you some hard-earned altitude. When you see Solalex don't descend towards the buildings, rather aim for the tree line on your left-hand side to join the trail to Anzeindaz (aka Anzeinde). This trail is heavily used by skitourers - can't be missed. From there keep following ski tracks all the way to Anzeindaz. Return by the same route. At la Porreyre I forked right into a yellow trail. It is closed in winter due to danger of avalanches (the sign was only on its West end). Better to stick to the route if there are active avalanche alerts for Villars/Gryon, otherwise, a nice alternative to the route.
