Itinerary description
Beautiful winter hike from Falmenta (Durone) into the valley of the Rio Falmenta, along several hamlets to the Alpe Forna. The slope from the Alpe Forna Inferiore to the refugio was covered in a snow crust perfect for snowshoes. From the Alpe I attempted to continue to Monte Zeda via the northern ridge system, but the snow conditions made this impossible.
