Itinerary description
Date : 2022.02.08
Duration on paper : 07h50 (snowshoes trekking)
Duration real with breaks : 07h44
Difficulty for me : T3
Physical : very difficult
Technical : difficult (ecrouvignes climb only)
Fear : average
Attendance ascent/summit/descent : low/high/null
Comment : the climb under the shutdown ski-lifts is very hard physically not for casuals, the only people who climbed with me were cross-country skiiers (way easier for them) the view of lac d'hongrin in winter was absolutely breathtaking, high attendance at the summit as lots of skiiers climb from Les Mosses, the descent had zero attendance and what I did after less than zero if you understand I shouldn't be there in the 1st place lol zero traces full fresh deep snow and I tried to climb a 57% slope on snowshoes which isn't possible...except if you drag yourself up with tree branches which is how I did it, not smart not safe but it worked, almost fainted at the top above les Ecrouvignes but I don't regret trying it I learned the limits of snowshoes, avoid doing that and instead follow the T3 path between les ecrouvignes and bonne eau, keep in mind there was a lot of snow and zero traces even without my shenanigans it would be a hard trek
