Comment : after 2 easy test snowshoes trek it was time to do what I wanted snowshoes for, continue doing T3 level hikes in winter, the snow conditions at the bottom of the mountain were fantastical, a sea of frozen ultra-light snow "sand" felt unreal to walk on the lightest snow I have ever seen, now the climb from les montées is still a T3 hike it's steep had roots and rocks, not easy on the snowshoes and we removed them for a part of it, the descent was the same super light snow it was a lot of fun going down "surfing" on it with the snowshoes, worth the effort
