Beautiful morning. Leaving Grise Fiord, we set off at 12:30 p.m., along the southern coast of Ellesmere and head towards Havnesfjord, between the Peninsula de Heim (to the west) and the Peninsula de Lindstrom to the east. We go up the fjord slowly, the seabed being poor and poorly mapped. Few birds today, a few northern fulmar petrels, a few black guillemots, but several curious seals. At 4:50 p.m., we are in Skreia, the site of the Fram's second wintering in the winter of 1899/1900.
Of course we landed. The ground was just thawed and the earth spongy but the area is mainly made up of rock slabs smoothed by glaciers in other times. We took our walk to the grave of Uve Braskerud, a sailor from the Fram who died during the winter. Nearby, under a cairn a plastic box contained various objects and a sheet of paper with the names of our predecessors here, the first in 1952, the second in 2004. The third we were obviously added their names. ..

While part of the team organized a photo session to find identically those of the Sverdrup expedition and organized the replacement of the cross of the Braskerud mausoleum, the rest of the team was busy reading. For my part, I have advanced in that of Malaurie's book.
