J32 ~ Saturday 16/01 The Exumas - Great Exumas - George Town 38.3 Nautical
Sky a little overcast but the sun will return quickly with however a shower at the height of Little Exuma, temperature 26 °, wind SW, 8/10 kn, then O, 10/12 kn, sea beautiful.
We leave Long Island (we'll be back in a few days) and come back to George Town. One reason for this: tomorrow a strong southerly wind is forecast and we will be safe in the Great Exuma Basin. Two of the five sailboats present in Thompson Bay when we arrived two days ago dropped anchor a few minutes after us and we will cross the concert.
Beautiful sunny crossing with some big clouds of trade winds. Anchorage at 3 pm in the Victoria Sund, in front of the Georgetown Marina; no boat is moored there while a hundred sailboats are at anchor on both sides of the body of water. Navrant!
A little later two Bahamian fishermen came to sell us a lobster of good size.
