J15 ~ Wednesday 30/12 The Exumas - Gaulin Cay South 8.4 nautical
Blue sky, generous sun, temperature 31 °, wind E 12/14 knots, rough sea.
We completed the full diesel and water at the marina station before taking off for a short drive which, after getting around the private island of Harvey Cay took us to the beautiful beach of Gaulin South Cay where we have wet in 2 meters of water as every day. On the other side is the island of Great Guana Cay, a sailboat on the rocks, result of a miserable anchorage while the wind has strengthened during the night and that the crew slept?
After the salad consisted of our usual lunch, we landed on the beach where we welcomed many Exuma iguanas whose size can reach 1.50 meters with its long tail. They were curious and not shy (there are three species and seven subspecies on the Bahamas Islands).
Swimming and snorkeling in front of the beach.
Tonight, and for the first time since we left Nassau, we'll be alone at anchor.
