J09 ~ Thursday 24/12 The Exumas - Shroud Cay - 5.6 nautical
Blue sky a little overcast, temperature 26 °, wind SE 12 knots, sea beautiful.
We left our anchorage of Normans Cay at 9 am to win the Shroud Cay engine, the first of the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park Islands, a national park, refuge of protected species only accessible by the sea. has no right to anchor, it is imperative to use one of six arranged chests and yet two American sailboats will dispense with it ...
We landed for a ride in a sheltered cove, beginning of the man-grove. Then, a little snorkeling session to observe the fish along the coral reef before coming back on board.
In the evening we will celebrate Christmas, improved meal with foie gras brought by Michèle, good Chilean white wine, delivery of small gifts that I had brought.
