Itinerary description
A beautiful route starting in Medina de Pomar (Calle Proncillo), heading North-West up the tarred road until you reach the fork shortly after the tar has given way to gravel road. Conitnue right along the gravel road, passing some vegetation shelters on your right. At the next fork in the road, keep right again onto which seems to be private land, and then go left when the path forks again shortly afterwards and becomes a gravel road again.
The route follows the road which reaches a public gravel road shortly afterwards, continuing to the left at this t-junction.
Follow the road downhill until you reach the first sign that indicates some destination to the right, and turn right - this 4x4 off-road track leads to the Roman bridge.
When you reach the Roman bridge, turn around once you've almost crossed over the bridge and continue on the 4x4 off-road track that leads to the right, past the bridge.
Continue on the 4x4 off-road track at the running to the ancient Roman bridge and half-way across the bridge on rural roads, before turning around to continue on and track through the woods to the ruin of a house on the riverside.
Continue down an old cement slab to cross over the ruins to a track that leads to the right to an old rail road station with a direction and distances indicator closeby.
Continue (0,7 km as indicated on the sign) to El Vado and turn left on the tarred road in El Vado, returning to Calle Proncillo and the start of this 7.75km route.
