Itinerary description
The start is in a free roadside car park on the road to Menzingen. There is public transport to Sihlbrugg
The trail is super easy.
The Sihlwald is a Beech forest. It is now a natural park which has spent already several decades going into its natural stage (by letting fallen trees rot and provide nutrients and habitats for many species). You will see big fallen trees everywhere.
If you start from the trail head do notice the tombstones on the floor that support the path along the Sihlriver
Best times for this route
1) in hot summer days given plenty of shade
2) with changing colours in Autumn.
