Itinerary description
Good thing this race starts at 5:30am. Cool and misty on the Atlantic coastline. Started heating up near the 36 and 42km split. Out and back section not too bad but from the turnaround you basically start the Red Hill climb. The downhill into Simonstown was a bit taxing on my back. The run along the False Bay coast from Simonstown to Fish Hoek is pleasant. The only only real problem is the "hill" in Glencairn. Its just a bump but at that stage it seems like a mountain.
Well organised and plenty of cold drinks along the route.
