Itinerary description
Atitlán lake is a lake in a massive crater of a vulcano, in Southwest Guatemala. The lake is surrounded by other volcanoes and it's a very touristy destination.
In this track we started in our hostel (Hostal Dulces Sueños) and turned left on the street. Then we took first on the left until the border of the lake, where we went right and in the lake left crossing by a bridge. We followed the lake and at the end we took so street on the left, passing a graveyard. When we arrived to the road, we took it on the right. We continued by it (pics.1,2&3) until we passed Santa Catarina village (pic.4). We came back on our foot.
The track is paved and very steep.
