Itinerary description
Gjirokaster is a town in South Albania, located between Gjere mountains and Drino river. It's 300m above the sea level and it's known for its Ottoman houses (it's UNESCO World Heritage).
In this track we started from our hostel, Friends Guesthouse (pic.1) and took the street down. When we arrived to the road, we took it to the left, and in the roundabout we took the first exit (to the right). We continued by this way until we arrived to a camp place, then we took the right sandway. We continued by it until we arrived to a fork. We took the right way and immediately turned to the right. We continued by this way until it finishes, then we continued by the right until we crossed the river (dry at that moment). We continued by this way until the road, where we took it to the right. We followed it until the fifth street on the left, that we took. We continued by it until the top, from where we could see our hostel (on the right). We took the next exit on the right and went by it until we arrived to our hostel's street.
We came then on our foot.
The way is paved until the camping, and then again from the road. The route is very flat and in the way you can see lots of bunkers.
