Itinerary description
Part running, part wandering and take some time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Perfect for a trail run, in the heart of the nature. STAY focused AND concentrated especially so u dnt twist ur ankle as u r running on uneven surface.
The trail is extremely well preserved, thanks to Dmit municipality, who i met some of its members, lovely people, who r passionate abt welcoming hikers and unfortunately shared with me how much they keep suffering from garbage collection after the rubbish people!!! Insane!!
Part of the trail, when overlooking to the north, u can see Damour river with dramatic mountain above, where Kfarmatta can b seen. When making a U Turn and start overlooking to the Other side of the mountain, to the south, u can see El Jahliyé river.
At the trailhead there was a closed gate with a fence next to it, i had to venture underneath it, but it was easy to do it from an opening in the fence on the right of the gate. I think bcz i was there late, at around 6pm. It was an afternoon trail run. Apparently they close the trail at night.
If u choose to hike the trail on normal pace, i estimate it may takes 3hours.
Suitable and safe for a family hike with childrens.
