Itinerary description
Most of the climbing is in the first half. The problem in the second half is mainly heat related as there is very little shade. Fortunately there is full road closure so you van use both sides of the road and the shade is mostly on the left side. Well organised race and Deloitte are sponsors for the next five years apparently. So it is worth the trip.
Hopefully they get rid of the dogleg two km from the finish and just stick the extra km in at Balitto. Its one of the easier marathons but I don't know if you want to go and race this so close to Comrades.
