THE GREATEST HALF MARATHON IN DENMARK
Once again the city will be thriving with excitement when downtown Aarhus will be dedicated to the 12.000 runners and 50.000 spectators. Experience a run where the wonderful entertainment, beautiful city and cheering will carry you though.
On June 12, 2022 Aarhus will transform itself into a giant celebration when the thousands of runners fill the city streets. For the ninth time Aarhus Motion proudly welcomes you to 21,097 magical kilometers packed with entertainment and good experiences along the way, and for the sixth time BESTSELLER is the main sponsor. The route will take the runners though the city without the usual traffic but with plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful streets.
MANY BEAUTIFUL ATTRACTIONS ALONG THE ROUTE
The BESTELLER Aarhus City Half marathon will show you the best of Aarhus. The icon buildings like ARoS art museum, music house and the Town hall tower can be enjoyed at a low pace in the start and finishing area. Then the route brings you by a number of attractions like Aarhus Cathedral, Dokk1 and Tivoli Friheden. Its pretty clear that BESTSELLER Aarhus City Half marathon is an unique experience with a lot of beautiful attractions along the way. The vibrant city of Aarhus is full of joy and love, and you will clearly experience that with the run of a lifetime.
HOTSPOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT
We will turn up the music, dance, shout and cheer to make you (almost) forget time and the kilometers ahead. You will meet all kinds of things like cheerleaders, horn orchestras and power zones where the music will be blasting loud. BESTSELLER Aarhus City Half Marathon is the race in Denmark that have most entertainment along the way, so one thing is certain, you will have a good time. We promise you, all of your senses will be activated when you meet samba dancers, DJ’s and rock bands. A unique feature is our Tour Caravan like the ones know from cycling races like Tour de France. The caravan drives in front of the runners to get the audience of around 50.000 people in the right mood so they can cheer the runners on.
