Itinerary description
Local marathon race just 1h driving from Patras. Not a big one, neither with any scenic route, but finishing in Ancient Olimpia, just next to the stadium :-D
Start from main square in Amaliada, going to the national road Patras-Pyrgos and following it all the way to Pyrgos and later to Olimpia. The route was quite hilly with 3 major climbs (@ 11th, 30th and 39th km) but also going tiny ups and downs for most of it. First half with head wind, second half with side wind. Cloudy and quite chilly.
My official time 3:04'48, not bad at all. 4th overall, 1st in M35.
