Itinerary description
A well organised charity run from Boksburg City Stadium.
There is a 10km and a 21km option. The same out and back route is used for both runs. A fairly easy flattish route through the Boksburg suburbs.
Plenty of marshals along the way although they are not there to stop the traffic for you. The traffic always has right of way and they are there just to help you cross the busy intersections. The route is well marked so it is difficult to get lost.
Waterpoints are every 3km and have the normal water and cold drinks. No sachets so there is no litter. The suburb you run through is very clean so if you litter it will be spotted.
Your entry fee gets you a bacon burger and cold drink/coffee. All proceeds from the run goes towards charity. It seems that they choose a different charity each year.
You can buy tickets for a lucky draw. This year the two main prizes were R1000 gift vouchers from a running store.
FFA put in a lot of effort to organise this run and its a great way to end the year off and help someone have a better Christmas.
