Itinerary description
Run mostly on dirt roads around the Skukuza staff village. There is some running on tar roads. The run is monitored from the air by rangers in a helicopter. Rangers are stationed every few hundred meters along the route to ensure the safety of the runners. The sponsors, South African Breweries, have a beer stop at 19km, before the final sprint home.
An undulating route that is not very difficult. The heat does play a part sometimes.
