Itinerary description
On this full-day excursion, we covered approximately 376 kilometers, exploring the Parques Nacionales Nahuel Huapi and Lanín, starting from the center of Bariloche on Ruta Nacional 40 and following the eastern edge of lago Nahuel Huapi to río Limay.
Afterward, we continued along RN40, hugging the northern shore of the lake until we reached Villa La Angostura, where we took a short break. We then continued our journey towards the Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar lakes, along the shores of which the city of San Martín de los Andes is located. The day was mostly cloudy, so we couldn't admire the unusual green and blue colors of a region with lush, ancient forests.
