Upon our arrival in Thamel Kathmandu, somewhat late according to the itinerary, we had to repack the backpacks that we would take on the long walk to Chomolugma Base Camp, without time to rest, we went to look for maps in the shops in the alleys of the Kathmandu neighborhood. Thamel, we returned to the hotel, had dinner and when the time was up to one in the morning we went out to look for the bus that would arrive in front of the garden of dreams, first one arrived at 1:30 am, but that was not it, we did not know the Nepali language we should look for the bus with the Nepali number 208 (२०८), the second bus arrived at 1:40 am but it was not the expected one either, at 1:50 am a third bus arrived with the number in Nepali 208 on the license plate main, we showed our paid reservation, we delivered the backpacks and we got on the bus, we were twelve passengers in a transport van exclusively for tourism, we left the Thamel neighborhood at 2:15 am, despite the middle of the night the night activity was abundant , the urban area is immense, we had been there for more than two hours and the lights of the houses and businesses continued between ravines and mountains, it is a journey with too many curves, a young foreign passenger could not stand the dizziness generated and was vomiting the entire trip, said young man had to use his empty water refill canister to store his gastric waste, poor passenger had a very bad time during the five long hours that the trip through the ravines to the Ramechhap airport in Manthali Nepal, this journey must be done Thus, since those of us who go independently to the Lukla airport have to move by land to the Ramechhap airport to fly from here to Lukla, some people do it on foot, but it requires more days and better physical condition, if you hire to a tourism agency authorized by the Nepal Tourism Board (Nepal Tourism Board) this agency helps you buy flight tickets from Kathmandu directly to Lukla, it is for this reason that we investigate directly the airlines that fly to Lukla and They answered us that there were no tickets available, that they were saturated, which is not true, those tickets are reserved for adventurers who go on expeditions to climb Chomolugma or Mount Everest, this is the real reason, all the adventurers who go on our own to enjoy the Himalayas we have these restrictions by the Nepal Tourism Board, it is unfair but it is a reality, this country is very visited by people with a good economic position, which causes a difference in level for people who do not have that possibility . Arriving in Manthali, it is a small city compared to Kathmandu, we quickly arrived at the Ramechhap airport, we went to the airline counter, they asked us for the reservation and we showed it to them, they weighed our backpacks, 13 and 14 kilograms, they gave us the boarding passes and in less than forty minutes we were already boarding the low-capacity plane with a maximum of fifteen passengers plus crew.
