Tamarack Glen Alpine Loop Clockwise
I did this hike with the Sierra Club Great Basin Group about 15 years ago.. going counter clockwise direction.
It is time to go back and see if the section of the Tamarack Trail (not maintained) is still do able or has it been absorbed back into its natural state. Thus the clockwise loop.
The Reno Tahoe Outdoors Friends Meetup group has scheduled this hike on August 22, 2016..
From all the reports available on Google, folks who have hiked up Tamarack Trail.. say this is a difficult 2.2 mile stretch with 1700 ft elevation gain.
