Walk Through Historic College Hill Area of Providence, RI
I was visiting Providence for Rhode Island School of Design\'s (RISD) parent weekend. We went for a walk through the College Hill district of Providence. This is the part of town across the river from the downtown area, mostly on the side of or on the top of a hill. This part of town has many colonial style historic buildings, houses and churches, some dating back to the early 1700s. We walked by: RISD, Brown University, The Carrie Tower, Licht Judicial Complex, First Unitarian Church, John Brown\'s house, First Baptist Church, Memorial Park, and the RISD Chase Center. We also walked down to the Wickenden St area... a section of town with student hang-outs and nice shoppes.
