Shahdag National Park offers spectacular sceneries and the trail is one of must do, when you visit the park. It’s necessary to plan your trip in advance, as Border Control and National Parks permissions are required. Procedures takes at least two weeks and it is quite bureaucratic job. Local guides offer their help in obtaining permissions and I highly recommend you to use their services. On your way, their support is also very helpful as the trail is full of Shepherds with their dogs (even 7-10 dogs per herd). You may also face the threat of other wild animals, which we hopefully did not meet. We used Mevlud Azizov services and we can recommend them also to you (WhatsApp: +994 50 684 43 74).
Keep in mind, there is 25-30 degrees in summer, and not some many places, where you can rest in shadow. Take enough water, as there is no stores on the trail.
