Itinerary description
12/07/2012 7:46 AM. One of the most thrilling rides, also Khardunla top is the place from where you can get the first view of the Karakoram Range. Bike ride to the worlds highest pass (Khardunla) is difficult, though the road are reasonably good the altitude gain is steep and if not acclimatized properly can cause discomfort. It is advisable to see other places in Leh and spend a few day before you go to Kahrdungla, and since you will not be allowed to stay there a few hours at 18000 ft is not a big problem. For birders it is a good place to spot the Lammergeier (Bearded Vulture) Himalayan Griffon, other sightings can include Long-tailed Marmot, Vulnerable Apollo Butterfly.

Hello you can climb by bike or too hard? I want to do on the second day of being in leh, I have no more time, it will be possible or not?
@Mansur, Sorry for the late reply, the climb is nice not to rough very possible on Bike, I would say avoid fuel injection bike a old fashion carburetor where you can adjust the air and fuel screw will be better, since after 15,000 ft the bike starves of air a bit.
