Itinerary description
Whipsaw Roverlanders Aug 2020
Day 1 of my novice drive on the Whipsaw. Driven in a near stock 95 Land Rover Discovery 1 with the exception being BFG KM3 tyres (225/75 16). I don’t think I could have made it with my stock road tires, like on Placer Lake.
Found the trail to be far more formidable then I had anticipated. But I made it.
Our start point is from the Whatcom road A&W for meeting point, fuel, and breakfast.
First night camp was at BFG lake, a small, unlisted lake with nice meadow for camping. The lake is named after the BF Goodrich Tire outstanding trail award which was presented at this location to the Roverlanders in 2007.
