Itinerary description

This Offroading starts at the Yanas - Wadi Naqab Junction point.

There is a Barrier Gate with a Security guard. Apparently this offroad was constructed for a Quarry project. They will allow you to drive up after taking your and Car details in their Register.

We didn't see any Quarrying activity.
A 4X4 is necessary for latter half of the Offroad as there are steep graded road sections.

The first half can be managed with a Good clearance Sedan or AWD.

The slope road starts from the Left side of Wadi Naqab junction all the way to the top of Jebel Yanas, which has very beautiful view of the Valley Wadi Naqab and Baqal and Yibir mountains in addition to RAK City and the Arabian Gulf.

You also can see Baqal Offroad track ( Now washed out due to rain and used as Baqal / Tallah and Yibir villages Hiking Trail ) and Sherri Village on the opposite direction towards Yibir mountain.

There is a Large village at the top of the mountain where there is a very steep road section which needs good skills to drive safely. Dont be afraid, it is safe but you need to be cautious.

There are many places to camp closer to the road, so that can be a Consideration.

There is a Public toilet at about half way through, but the water supply and hygiene condition is unknown. We didnt use it.

The road ends where there are few Hiking trails such as Hayaneh, Azabat and Sal villages.

Hi Patrick, I noticed that you have the Bridgestone HT tires on your Pajero. How would you rate these tyres with your experience. Are they good on trails and road
