Itinerary description
Mixed sections of gravel track and tarmac. Beautiful scenery. We drove this route in a iglhaut allrad sprinter.
The route starts at Ethno Village Montenegro, Donja Brezna. Here you can learn about traditional Montenegrin culture and eat homemade meals at the family restaurant. It is also possible to spend the night here for a small fee (check P4N).
The first 28km are on tarmac, descending steadily into the canyon, crossing a bridge and back up the other side of the valley. Narrow roads with a few passing places but little traffic.
From Duzi the gravel track is very bumpy but nothing really too tricky. The track takes you north to join the panoramic route ‘The Durmitor ring’.
The road passing Sušičko Jezero lake has some tight serpentines with loose rocks of the road.
The black lake is one of the top Montenegrin tourist destinations but that doesn’t take away from its beauty. Well worth a stop here!
Hopefully this route will be continued…

The trail is super nice and has a beautiful scenery. We can confirm the off road part as stage 1 regarding experience. As newby it was exciting but not worrying at any time. We also stayed near the second over night spot and it was totally worth it. The last part on tarmac road was packed with view points. Can just recommend it.
