SIPA beach

This small wild beach is located at the exit from Vinjerac to the south. The beach is pebble and surrounded by rocks, and leads to the goat's path. If you want to spend a pleasant time without a lot of crowds, this beach is the ideal place for you. In the pre and post season, this beach is very likely to be yours. Only 200 meters north of this bay there is the beach of Three Draga Vinjerac.

Beach Tri Drage

Immediately to the bay of Sipa, about which we have already written, there is a little larger bay of Tri Drage. Another wild, hidden cove to which the goat passes, and its greatest advantage is the hidden good chance that it will not be crowded even in July and August.

Vinjerac

Vinjerac is an old village with a long maritime and fishing tradition, which today has only 80 inhabitants. During the summer months, the number of visitors increases and still retains the charm of a small, authentic, Dalmatian village due to the tourists who are attracted by the remote, clean and calm sea, as well as the possibility of actively spending their holidays both at sea and in the mountains. Vinjerac is nearby Zadar, only 30 km away, with its rich cultural heritage and urban pulse, makes for diversity and enables nightlife.

Maslenica bridge

Very seldom, a contemporary Croatian bridge had such an unusual destiny like this bridge over Maslenica gorge, that carries the name Maslenica Bridge or lately, very often Old Maslenica Bridge, so it could be distinguished from a new concrete bridge, not far away, a part of the highway Zagreb – Split. Almost everybody, and this will doubtless remain, considered Maslenica Bridge the most beautiful one in Croatia. Especially for its perfect fit into the stingy rocky ground, where the vegetation has a rare presence. Actually, it was and remained some kind of Croatian cultural good – a monument of contemporary architectural Croatian heritage. The Old Maslenica Bridge, now being part of the regional road instead of a highway, has significantly less traffic than its neighbor New Maslenica bridge. But for those who drive along our coast, love to enjoy beauty rather than speed, it is an important destination. Because of significantly less traffic than it had in its “first life”, because now, it is out of the main traffic trajectory, probably, once a nice motel above the bridge will never be renovated. It is certain this bridge during the strong bora (NE wind) times shields travellers better than its much bigger twin brother.

Posedarje

Posedarje is a small village and a port on the shore of Novigrad sea, inhabitated from the 12th century. Posedarje is known by homemade food, local specialites, production of smoked ham, fishery and shellfish-catching. Posedarje has a long history and tradition (it was mentioned for the first time in 1219., and through Medieval ages the Dukes of Posedarje became famous by defending the land from enemies). The most famous was the duke Martin of Posedarje, whose statue is placed on the central square. There are 3 more structures with a long history; parish church of St. Rozarija from 12th century; romanic church os St. Mary’s Assumption from 13th century; gothic church of St. Spirit just in front of the village, on 1 of the 3 islets. An interesting site is the hill of Čelinka above Posedarje, where a local artist and carpenter has built a little church and sculptures from hand-carved wood.
