One of the highest points of the Pokhara area is the Ananda mountain where the Buddhist pagoda Shanti Stupa is located. From there, on a clear day you can perfectly appreciate the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. A spectacular sight that with luck can be seen even reflected in the lake of Pokhara. In this track the day was clear and you could see in the mist the silhouette of the majestic peaks, which seem to be governed by the Machapuchare. If you are lucky to have a clear day, this visit is a must.
