Departure from Gorizia, direction Planina. In this stretch of road in Slovenia, it was practically impossible to drive on unpaved sections, having found a lot of access restrictions for motor vehicles. A real shame, compared to the distant 2017, where there were no bans. In fact, these no-entry signs look new, so they've been placed for a short time.😐
From Planina (409), follow the signs for Cerknica .
Off Road route along the shores of Lake Cerknisko, surrounded by thick undergrowth.
Path full of branches.
No driving on Sundays.
Overnight stay at the refuge at high altitude. Sun but Slivnici. The ascent to the refuge is all dirt. Well beaten road surface. You can also go up with a normal car, not too low from the ground. Dinner and overnight at modest prices.
Splendid view of the lake.
The only flaw, the shared bathroom.
