Itinerary description

Red Lane
Green marker indicates were we started!
After trail we headed home so no more lanes as we were on it for many hrs winching and recovering etc

Need minimum 2 inch lift
Need a winch

Very extreme
Highly recommend a team of 3 people / trucks

Good recovery gear = snatch blocks etc one of the toughest lanes in the country

Looking at this, it seems it's 100% main road, i guess the route is wrong... could you update please

The title says it all - 'Red Lane'. Check the route and you'll see a lot of GPS 'noise' at the North end, this is Red Lane. The rest is road miles getting there. This one is not for the faint hearted or those without a lift or a winch.

Did you start at the top or bottom?

Did this in December. Bad choice as the water was high. 5 inch lift 35" tyres and I still got stuck and had water over my seats. Its a beast of a track so be careful. Advise as a group.
