Itinerary description
Offroad trail to highest mountain of Croatia.
Super Easy trail, with posibility to hike to the top.
But it seems, it will be impossible to go there by car from next year (2021) as National Park will be raised. You should double check new regulations in place.

Did it in september 2021. Nice trail, except, if you want to avoid a few bigger rocks and save 15min, just go to nicer road on the far left, when you get to the biggest crossroad. (not the second one from the left)

I just did this trail, end of November 2022 and I didn't see any signs yet of prohibition of motorized vehicles in the area. On our way up we crossed 3 military vehicles that were driving down the mountain, and they waved and smiled at us too. A little higher up (before you enter the forest) there were some people doing some construction and they also waved at us. So I'm not sure about the access to the mountain being cut off for motorized vehicles, perhaps because it was off-season no one cared. Either way, we made it up and it was absolutely stunning this time of the year. No problems at all for our 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter camper and we stayed overnight at the highest point you can get before the trail turns into single-track. The next day we hiked to Sinjal 1831m, definitely recommended, although there was a little bit of snow already. Thanks so much for sharing this trail!
