This trail has it all from the very easy to the very difficult. Rock climes to steep descents you have to have your wits about you, not to make a mistake on some of the terrain.

Sections of erosion over the years have made this trail very difficult. Flooding wiped out a section of trail for a long stretch; however, it was repaired by the time we got there. This will likely happen again, so it is a good idea to check trail conditions with the BLM before heading out. The rocky ledge road after Point #7 has also gotten more difficult. Route finding is confusing along one section of the creek where conditions change with each storm.

Do not do this trail with less than 35" tires and new. Lockers needed and good recovery gear steel bumpers with tow points. Depending on the time of year you go you have to pay close attention to the heat of your engine rads have been known to literally explode or your engine witch ever comes first. Bring a lot of drinking water and food this is no means a beginners trail.

Tips: Take lots of water. Canyon can get very hot in the summer. In spots, the trail is overgrown with tamarisk and can be very buggy during hot summer months, so remember to take bug repellent.
